Pressing
the enter key three times was a quick way to set up the table, but by
doing this we accepted Text as the Data Type for all of the fields.
We
now need to change the Data Type for the DATE field to a Date/Time Format.
We
now need to change the Data Type for the PRICE field to CURRENCY Format.
1.
Click to the right of the word Text in the DATE row, and a dropdown box
will appear, select Date/Time from the dropdown list. Press Function key
F6 at the top of your keyboard and the the cursor will jump to the
formatting box at the bottom of the page. In the Format Row select General
Date from the dropdown list.
2.
Click to the right of the word Text in the PRICE row, and a dropdown box
will appear, select Currency from the dropdown list. No further settings
are required for this field type.
Your
table should now look like this:-
Notice
that the Data Types have changed to DATE/TIME and CURRENCY.

We
are now ready to Save our Table design.
